The Image Library Archival Database (ILiAD) is a sophisticated, custom-built system for the managing digitized audio-visual
collections. It was conceived out of the need for an effective way to organize and catalog extremely large collections of images,
videos, audio, and other digitized media. It consists of two separate components: An Entry and Management Application (Desktop
Application) and a Viewing Interface (Online Edition).
- The Desktop Application is a Microsoft
Windows program that was developed using Microsoft
VisualBasic .NET. Information is stored in a SQLite
Database. SQLite is a portable, cross-platform database management system, making it well-suited for deployment on a wide
array of platforms.
- The Online Edition enables viewing of the database content. Because it is Web-based, it can be deployed on any
computer capable of hosting a Web Server such as Apache,
and accessed with a Web Browser either locally or over the Internet. Please note:
The Online Edition is not
mobile-friendly at this time; this may change in the future.
